Washington State residents Steve and Donna were planning a cross country trip during the summer months. They organized their luggage and made important decisions regarding what was essential and what they thought was expendable. Their finances were in order and they had access to emergency finances should an emergency occur. As the day of departure approached they felt they were well prepared for their trip.

Planning a long vacation or trip does require a significant investment of time but you can make it fun. Use the anticipation of the trip itself to motivate you to concentrate on the numerous details which may need to be attended to.
