Dogs are carnivore beings which were surviving in the wild but were tamed many thousands of years ago to offer friendship to human beings and be functional to him. Dogs were originally untamed and survived in great groups. They are known to be the descendants of the gray wolf. They had a complicated social organization with intricate hierarchy levels and had to know many postures and non verbal communication signs to make others in the pack understand their level as well as their existing mood. Scientists strongly believe that it is this happening that has made dogs so easy to teach and talk with.

There are hundreds of dog types throughout the earth. The initial breeds were genuinely available and changed genuinely also. However later humans started to produce additional types that will own the advantageous qualities and traits of both parents. So today’s types are mostly those fixed by humans. There are literally thousands of permutations that each end up with a totally unique and different dog, giving way to the fact that each individual is different than all of the other dogs of its breed and species out there. You can look and look, but chances are you will never find two dogs that are alike enough for them to be considered twin-like.

Dogs have a very improved sense of smell and hearing. The kinds are different in size, coat, and color, form of ears, eyes and nose, dissimilar tails etc on the physical front. They as well are different in their behavioral traits and attitudes. They are all mostly predators and scavengers. They have intense and robust muscles that permit them to sprint and catch prey. Their cardio vascular system is solid enough to support running and stamina also. They own complex wrist bones and canine teeth that are improved for capturing and ripping prey. The numerous dog breeds also vary in height and weight. Though the most little known specimen weighed 113 grams and measured a mere 6.3 cms in height the largest known kind, the Great Dane has achieved a height of 106.7 cm and the heaviest dog weighed 155 Kgs.
